Is your family ready for a new adventure in learning? Acton Academy Charleston is accepting rolling enrollment applications for children ages 5 – 11 for the 2024-25 Academic Year. Contact us to set up a Tour!

Tuition is $8,700 payable over 10 months at $870/month. Upon acceptance we require a non-refundable supply fee of $500 per learner.

A 10% discount will be applied for each additional sibling enrolled. Parents will need to supply each enrollee with a Chromebook; filter/parent control information will be supplied.

Application Process

Step 1

Deep Dive

Interested families should review the Acton Academy Charleston website and watch Jeff Sandefer’s TedX Talk on “Rethinking Education: Geniuses and Heroes.” We also recommend reading one or more books from our suggested list.

Step 2

Schedule a Call

Email us directly at [email protected] with your phone number and 3 possible days and times we can call to get to know you and your family. You may also use our Contact Form.

Step 3

Tour & Collaborative Interview

We may invite you to Acton Academy Charleston for a collaborative interview. Your family will visit before or after school to determine if you are ready to begin your adventure with us and to be sure we can serve your family well. We may also schedule a “Shadow Day” (2 hours or more) for your child to spend time in the appropriate studio so he or she can experience life at AAC!

Step 5

Admissions Decision

We will usually let you know the preliminary status of your application within 2 weeks. Ensuring a good fit between each student and family with Acton is essential. For that reason, admission remains subject to review of student school records, and the discretion of the school based on information obtained prior to the start of school. Admission to our school will be confirmed upon receipt of the $500 non refundable registration fee, and signed enrollment documents.

Acton Academy Charleston Application Checklist

We are excited that you are ready to begin a hero’s journey for your child! The application is an opportunity for us to get to know you better and learn what you hope to discover at Acton Academy Charleston. We want you to think deeply about what you value in education. There are no correct answers, so respond freely. You will need the following items to complete the application:

Your child’s most recent academic transcript, report card, or similar document
Names and contact information for your child’s current teacher(s)
Name and contact information for a coach, music teacher, former teacher, religious leader, or other adult reference
A letter of recommendation from someone who has taught your child and isn’t related to him or her

If you have more than one child, please submit a separate application. We believe each child is unique. (You can use the same answers for questions about your perspective.)
