Information for Homeschooling Families

Acton Academy Charleston is now enrolling children ages 5 – 8 for a 3-day a week program in the Discover Studio (studio = creative learning space).  Your child will experience a full day of fun and learning from 8:45 am to 3:15 pm (T/W/TH) and the program follows our regular calendar of 7 sessions, each with a unique theme, from mid-August through mid-June.

Your child will practice compromise and negotiation, peaceful conflict resolution, group discussions, goal-setting, playing in a group, peer learning, and how to be a good friend. Oh, and we also offer Montessori-based language arts and math, music, art, yoga and hands-on engineering during loose parts play.

Tuition for 2024-25 will be 60% of 5-day tuition, $6930.  Upon acceptance you would pay a $300 supply fee and one month of tuition ($630).  The pre-paid month of tuition replaces a registration fee and is credited to current families in June, at the end of the school year.  Billing is monthly for accepted families starting in August.

Chromebooks are optional for homeschooling families.  We will help you decide whether or not your child needs an adaptive learning program for reading or math.
